The presence of the craftsman was apparent in the production of English villages, which is seen in contrast to the present renderings of the new Longcross garden village development in Surrey. This process seeks a new way of designing and visualising villages by looking to the craft of painting and how to keep the hand present and visible within the design process.

 

The device will capture an image of model in its position on site, much like modern day rendering simulates within visualisations. The device will also be able to scan the model using photogrammetry and scan the surrounding site. This will capture a true version of the geometry and textures of the proposal within its surroundings.
